1981: 4-H's Clovers & Company performing arts group forms
Clovers & Co. was founded to provide an opportunity for 4-H youth to promote and share with others the excitement, leadership and talent evident in 4-H.
Interested 4-H'ers from throughout the state audition yearly for the limited number of spots in the show. The group is composed of talented singers, dancers, musicians and stagehands. Volunteers give many hours to assure that all can be proud of the production, and primarily direct the show.
Some of their most memorable shows have been for 4-H'ers attending National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Memphis and Chicago; The National 4-H Gala with honoree Jennifer Nettles; Duets television show on ABC; NAE4-HA 2007 with Clovers alumna, including Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland; a benefit with Hillary Lindsey, Clovers alumna and writer of many number one hit songs, including "Jesus Take the Wheel"; and National 4-H Conference in Washington, D.C.
Several graduates have gone on to have careers in the music and entertainment fields on the national level.
The group continues to serve as key entertainment at events such as state and national conferences for groups including the National Association of County Agricultural Agents, Georgia Farm Bureau, Association County Commissioners of Georgia, Georgia Association of Educational Leaders, Georgia High School Student Council Conference and many others.
